Currently based in the UAE and working across the emirates, Polly Phillips is a freelance journalist and copywriter, specialising in lifestyle, health, travel and human interest features.


After graduating from Cambridge University Polly began her career at Emap publishing house, working on the launch of several women's magazine websites. From there, she moved into the world of celebrity, working on All About Soap magazine, before joining the Daily Express group. While working for the Express group, she worked on the features desk at the Sunday Express, and both the women's and news pages of the Daily Express. She was also part of the team that launched the websites for both the Daily Express, the Daily Star and OK magazine. 


Polly has been freelancing since 2014. Locally, she works for titles in Dubai, including the sassymama group, Time Out and Time Out Kids as well as a selection of private clients. Internationally, she contributes to The Daily Telegraph, The Daily Mail, Yahoo, Healthista and Red Online.

She also generates content for a broad range of industries globally, ranging from opticians and health companies in Scandinavia, to property and technology groups in London and social networking clubs in the UAE.
